MATCH PREVIEW | Curzon Ashton

Back to Blogs

We are just over the half way mark of the season yet this will be the third time Chorley have met Curzon Ashton so far this season, and the Magpies will be looking to avenge their FA Cup exit to the Tameside outfit in early September. The big news to come out of the Nash in late 2023 has been the departure of manager Adam Lakeland to King’s Lynn Town with midfielder Craig Mahon taking interim charge and getting off to an excellent start. They have not had all their own way recently though and an exit from the FA Trophy at home to Macclesfield 0-2 coupled with defeats in the league away to Farsley Celtic, 2-1, and Gloucester City 3-0 on Tuesday have made unwelcoming reading for Nash fans. Still, despite these results, they remain seventh and just two points behind the Magpies which gives this afternoon’s encounter a bit of a festive bite…

Curzon Ashton’s playing record in 2022/23 was:

13th. Played: 46. Won: 18. Draw: 11. Lost: 17. Goals For: 58. Goals Against: 55. Points: 65.
