PROGRAMME PIECE | King's Lynn Town

Back to Blogs

A warm welcome to everyone who has made the journey from King’s Lynn for today’s game and an extended welcome to members and directors of The Blue & Gold Supporters’ Trust. We hope you enjoy your visit to Victory Park this afternoon.

The result against Warrington Town last weekend did not go our way on the pitch, however, off it the Trust had a very good afternoon with membership sales – both new and renewals – 50/50 sales, and also the distribution of the free match day programme went down a hit. A massive thank you to the Club for this initiative and allowing us to collect donations for programmes which will go into the Magpies Fund.

As mentioned before, we had a good afternoon with membership sales at the Warrington game, gaining 5 new members, but we would like to give a special mention to our newest Super Fan which has sent Magpies Trust global and given us our first member from ‘down under’. Ian is over in the UK visiting friends whilst on a work trip and made the journey to Victory Park thanks to a fellow Trust Super Fan. He made quick work of visiting Trust HQ and signing up as our first international Super Fan. Thank you Ian and we hope to see you on Victory Park again soon!

We are still accepting memberships for just £10 per year or you can register yourself as a Super Fan like Ian did for just £5 per month. You will be entered into a Super Fan draw as well as directly supporting the fantastic work of Chorley FC Community Foundation.

Have you got your 50/50 tickets for today’s game? Did you know that you can now purchase these online prior to any fixture? More information about this can be found on the shop section of our website. The 50/50 draw provides valuable income for both the Trust and the Club on a matchday. We managed to sell a ticket to 36% of the crowd last weekend and with your help we can increase this percentage, increase the prizes and increase the money generated for our projects. Thank you for your support with the 50/50 draw!

There are plenty of other projects that you can get involved with that support the Trust and they are;

  • Golden Goals – As popular now as it was when it was first introduced onto the Victory Park terrace over 20 years ago. For just £1 per ticket you could bag yourself £30 when that first goal goes in.
  • Pledge Scheme – £1 per goal, £1 per clean sheet. It’s your pledge. We’re trying to build up funds inside the newly created “Magpies Fund”.

All income we receive through these projects goes back into the Trust and ultimately will help us achieve our goals of helping the Club and improving the supporter experience at Victory Park.

Again, thank you for your continued support and enjoy the game!
