PROGRAMME PIECE | Chester FC

Back to Blogs

Good evening and welcome to Victory Park for this evening’s fixture against Chester. I would like to extend this welcome to the board and volunteers behind City Fans United who are in fact the proud owners of their Club since 2010 – Superb work to all involved.

It’s been just over a week since our travels took us closer to France’s capital than Victory Park and I want to start off by saying giving a huge kudos to our travelling fans. Some taking in an overnight stay, others making a full weekend of it and even a group who set off at the crack of dawn relying on the train network to arrive in the small town of Hythe.

Somewhere with this edition of Magpie Review you will have seen that we have started a new fundraiser called Push4Promotion. Without repeating what is already been said in that piece, you really could make a difference.

Enjoy the game!

50/50 Half Time Draw

You may have noticed that our 50/50 half time draw has had a bit of a mid-season change. At the Spennymoor game we finally sold out of the previous batch which gave us chance to have a look at how we can make the draw more enticing. After some research and asking other supporters we have decided to reduce the prizes and will be going with ONE HUGE cash prize – Some lucky fan could have walked away with over £200 just before New Year! You can also buy your tickets prior to the game by visiting our online shop - shop.magpiestrust.org

Want to volunteer?

Do you think you have a certain skillset that could help the Trust achieve their goals? We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help either around match days or behind the scenes at the Trust – If you think you could sell a 50/50 ticket or two, then speak to a Trust board member. Our full list of volunteer opportunities can be seen on our website.

Membership Update

Our membership numbers stand at 95.

How much does it cost? £10 per year, or £5 per month to be a ‘Super Fan’ How do I register? On our website, at Trust HQ on matchdays or speak with a Trust board member – Look out for our lanyards to identify us. Do I need to do anything else? You can be as active or inactive as you like. We are always looking for volunteers but if you can’t commit the time, your membership is commitment enough.
