PROGRAMME PIECE | Bishop's Stortford

Back to Blogs

We had a superb result against King’s Lynn both on and off the field a week ago. Membership sales – both new and renewals – and 50/50 sales continue to increase. We also assisted the Club with handing out the free matchday programmes – Kudos to the Club for this initiative and allowing us to collect donations for the programmes. The money collected will go straight into the Magpies Fund.

Did you hear about the ‘Walk To The Seaside’ that took place on Bank Holiday Monday? The walk was done by myself and Chorley FC Community Foundation Chair, Darren. There is still time to donate to the walk by visiting our Local Giving page - https://localgiving.org/fundraising/walk-to-the-seaside/

Membership numbers are still rising as we received another 2 renewals last week at the King’s Lynn game. You can still join the Trust for just £10 per year or you can register yourself as a Super Fan for as little as £5 per month. You will be entered into a Super Fan draw as well as directly supporting the fantastic work of Chorley FC Community Foundation.

Have you got your 50/50 tickets for today’s game? Did you know that you can now purchase these online prior to any fixture? More information about this can be found on the shop section of our website. The 50/50 draw provides valuable income for both the Trust and the Club on a matchday. Thank you for your support with the 50/50 draw!

There are plenty of other projects that you can get involved with that support the Trust and they are;

·        Golden Goals – As popular now as it was when it was first introduced onto the Victory Park terrace over 20 years ago. For just £1 per ticket you could bag yourself £30 when that first goal goes in.

·        Pledge Scheme – £1 per goal, £1per clean sheet. It’s your pledge. We’re trying to build up funds inside the newly created “Magpies Fund”.

All income we receive through these projects goes back into the Trust and ultimately will help us achieve our goals of helping the Club and improving the supporter experience at Victory Park.

Reminder: Our next monthly meeting takes place at the Victory Park Social Club on Thursday 7th September. Doors will open at 7pm with the meeting due to start at 8pm.

Again, thank you for your continued support and enjoy the game!

Julian
