Squad Development Fund Launched
Help Gerry build a team to be proud of through the
Squad Development Fund
What is it?
The Squad Development Fund will provide a reserve of cash which Manager Gerry Luczka can use to strengthen the team. Similar schemes have worked well at other clubs, including Kidderminster Harriers and more locally Warrington Wolves RLFC.
If a player becomes available mid-season who Gerry feels might strengthen the squad, then the fund will allow him to offer terms to that player without eating into the current wage structure and without affecting the existing squad of players. This scheme might make a big-name signing possible.
How can I be sure where the money is going?
The fund will be administered by a panel comprised of a representative of the management team, one from the Magpies Trust and another supporters' representative. You can be certain that the money will only be spent on strengthening the first team.
While the Magpies Trust fully supports the scheme and will actively donate to it, any money going into the fund is completely independent of Trust funds and will be administered by the panel.
How do I get involved?
Just fill in the standing order form and send it to your bank. It's entirely up to you how much you pledge – any amount is welcome and will help the cause. But whatever you do give, the Magpies Trust has promised to match, up to a limit of £1000 over the season.
