This was a completely different story from a month ago, when Chorley succumbed to a late goal. Here Chorley bossed the game, showing a massive improvement from the teams' last meeting. Scott Bradford put an early chance over the bar, and when Barker scored on 35 minutes it was long overdue. Fleming's cross was headed back across goal by Mason and Barker knocked it in from close range.

6 minutes after the interval Chorley went further ahead. Mason yet again took a poor penalty, this time hitting the bar, but the rebound was knocked back towards him and he made no mistake at the second time of asking. There might have been another penalty when Dodds appeared to handle the ball, but given Chorley's recent record from the spot it's probably as well it wasn't given. Things in that department are a far cry from last season when Danny Mills scored 10 out of 11 penalties.

In truth Albion really didn't cause Chorley any problems, and the game was long over when Eatock converted Barker's cross with the last kick of the match.
